Redeeming Vouchers On The EPOS App
The EPOS App offers a seamless way to process payments using vouchers, enhancing customer convenience and streamlining transactions. This guide provides a step-by-step approach to accepting voucher payments, ensuring a smooth experience for both staff and customers.
If a customer presents a QR code for a voucher created in the Backend Portal, follow these steps to redeem it:
- At Checkout, tap the Redeem Voucher button to activate the camera.
- Scan the QR Code provided by the customer.
- Review the Discount Summary, which will show the voucher details.
- If the voucher applies to all menu items, the total cart cost will be reduced by the voucher amount (percentage or fixed value). Click Apply to return to cart.
- If the voucher applies only to specific menu items and is percentage based, the discount will be applied only to those items. Click Apply to return to cart.

If the voucher offers a fixed discount (e.g., £5 off) and is valid for certain items, you will see the eligible items and be asked to select which ones to discount after clicking Apply. You will be informed of the voucher amount used or if the items surpass the voucher's value. After selecting the eligible items, click Apply Quantity to go back to the cart.
- If the voucher covers only part of the cost, the discounted amount will be displayed along with the remainder to pay in the cart.
- If the voucher covers the entire bill, simply press Cash and then click Done on payment screen, otherwise move onto Step 4.
- If the voucher applies to all menu items, the total cart cost will be reduced by the voucher amount (percentage or fixed value). Click Apply to return to cart.
